The pump lifts water from the tank and spreads it across the cooling pads. When it seizes, burns out or clogs, the pads dry out and the cooler only blows warm air. Pumps work in mineral-rich water all summer, which is why they are the part we replace most often.
We test the pump under load, check the power supply and inspect the distributor lines before recommending replacement. If a clean will restore it, we clean it. If it needs replacing, we fit a correct-spec pump and check that every pad is evenly wet before we leave.
Power, impeller and motor tested to confirm the pump is the fault.
Correct-spec pump fitted for your brand and model.
Blocked distributor lines and spreaders cleared for even flow.
Sump and filter cleaned so debris does not seize the new pump.
Wiring, connectors and the pump circuit tested for safety.
Full saturation and outlet temperature checked before we leave.

Evaporative cooling uses water and fresh outside air instead of refrigerant. Understanding the four main parts makes it easy to see why a single failed component stops the whole system cooling.
Water collects in the tank and the pump lifts it to the top of the pads.
Water soaks the pads. As hot air passes through, evaporation cools it by up to 10–15°C.
The fan draws air through the wet pads and pushes it down into the ducts.
Ducts carry the cool air to each room. Open a window or door so warm air can escape.
Tell us the brand and what the cooler is doing. We give you an arrival window, usually the same day.
A licensed technician tests the pump, motor, float valve, pads and controls to find the real cause.
You get a fixed price before any work starts. No call-out surprises and no pressure to proceed.

Pump replacement is one of the lowest-cost cooler repairs. The exact price depends on your brand and model, and we confirm a fixed, low price before we start.
Typically 5 to 8 years. Hard water, a lack of servicing and running the tank dry all shorten a pump's life.
Sometimes. If the impeller is jammed with scale or debris, cleaning can restore it. Burnt-out motors cannot be repaired economically and need a new pump.
Our vans stock pumps for Breezair, Bonaire, Braemar, Brivis, Coolair and other common units, so most replacements are done on the first visit.
Water in the tank but warm air almost always means the pump has stopped or the distributor lines are blocked. Both are quick fixes for a technician.
